Prof. Mardanpour balances professional life with his life long passion for Persian literature, horse riding, and swimming.

He enjoys reading and interpreting modern poetry by Sohrab Sepehri as well as traditional poetry by Hafez, and Saadi Shirazi.

He obtained his swimming pool lifeguard certificate at the age of twenty, and is active member and supporter of several animal protection societies.

His passion for equestrian riding, which started at age 6, flourished in South Florida. He trains and prepares his horse on discipline of jumping for national competitions.
